So, I've been very slowly trying to make a blog for my family. And also have been unsuccessful in getting my wife to help me update it. So in a failed attempt to recount the last like year and a half I feel that I am at an impass and should just kind of sum it all up. I'll add a few pictures here and there, but overall Jenn and I's time in South Carolina is a blur and mostly forgettable.

So in a nutshell here it is:

Jenn and I after getting married had moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. Mainly because I got a promotion to open the much anticipated over-hyped Hard Rock Park. I worked as the location manager for Smarte Carte. I must say I enjoyed my job. The hours were horrible, but the trade off was nice. Jenn worked at the arcade, and while she didn't have that many hours it was nice to be able to spend time with her while I was at work.
The horrible part about everything was it was a dream short lived. Great job, great pay, great benefits, in a town that I could see myself living in for a while. Yet, the park didn't live up to its hype and filed for bankruptcy. Which in turn lead to me getting laid off.

After the layoff, it seemed that a new place was in store. While I had lived in Florida for the vast majority of my life, I felt that the last thing I wanted to do was move back there. So Jenn and I packed up everything and moved to Utah. Which we found out Jenn was pregnant again. Oh not sure if I mentioned that in a previous post or not. So if I haven't. In June 2008, Jenn found out she was pregnant with our little Jelly bean, who unfortunately was miscarried :( I wish I could say that nightmare was over, but that's a story that I do not wish to divulge in detail. Here is a picture of our little Jelly bean.
Our little Jelly Bean was sooooo much larger than life. And will honestly never be forgotten. Jenn and I like to think that she just forgot something and will grace us with her presence at a later time.
So anyway, we moved to Utah and Jenn found out she was pregnant again!! Which made us very excited and very worried. Considering we never really found out the reasoning behind the miscarriage. Drama associated with the nightmare. Luckily whatever was wrong didn't happen this time and Connor is with us now and Jenn is like 39 weeks pregnant today. Based on this I think I'm going to give Connor his own blog; which is the reason I needed to catch Jenn and I's up. So then I could focus on more important things... like him :) Just Kidding. But he's going to be awesome!! I know it.

The Wedding!!!

After a month of talking on the phone and making wedding plans over a long distance connection. Florida to Utah is far, no matter what people say. Edward flew into Salt Lake City Airport on February 27th, 2008 for the last time to visit his fiancee Jennifer.
Jennifer picked Edward up and they drove off into the sunset and lived happily ever after. :) Just kidding!!
Jennifer picked Edward up and they hung out for a while before going to visit all of Jennifer's family at her parent's house. Edward was excited!! He had met several of Jenn's family on his previous visits and even got to spend the night with her brother Greg and his family at Downtown Disney. Edward knew from his previous experiences that he should have no problem fitting in.

The anxiety Edward and Jennifer experienced was nothing compared to what they experienced on the day of their wedding, February 29, 2008. Who would have known that photo nazis would be lined up everywhere trying to get pictures. Forget socializing with family either of us hadn't seen in forever. That didn't matter. All that mattered was pictures. And I honestly have over 400 of them to prove it. This is a picture of everybody that was at the initial wedding. I personally wish that we could have got pictures of everybody that walked in the door for the reception. Mainly because I wanted to get names with faces.

Jennifer was exhausted by the end of it. Mainly from the picture taking and the lovely dress she had to watch, making sure people didn't step on it or anything. Overall though the wedding was fun. Maybe a few things I would change, but it was memorable to say the least. And to sum it all up on February 29, 2009 at approximately 9pm mountain standard time, Edward and Jennifer were officially together forever and on their way away from all the hooplah of the wedding.

Engagement Pictures Flight

So after the proposal, Jennifer and Edward thought that the next time they saw each other would be the Wedding. Luckily for us, certain people hated the pictures we took at Disney and decided to fly Edward out so that they could get some new more professional looking pictures done.

There were many pictures taken around some pleasant sights in and around Pleasant Grove. This was the first one. (The picture to the right was taken at GoodWood. This is the place that catered the Wedding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!)

The sad thing of the whole trip is that Edward was only able to be there for a couple of days. The fact that the wedding was taking place in a month and the fact that Edward was being transferred to run his own location for Smarte Carte in Myrtle Beach was a pretty big deal. There were a lot of people that were going to be sad to see him go.

As you can tell Jennifer and Edward had a lot of fun together. Our professional photographer and Jennifer's father did a very good job. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all that he has done for us.

The Proposal

On December 12, 2007, Jennifer made the long journey to visit her Edward in Orlando. Fun and excitement ensued as the couple ventured to Disney World. This was a first for Jennifer, having grew up in California she could only imagine the possibilities she would encounter upon her arrival.

They arrived at Epcot Center very early in the morning. Accompanied by Edward's sister-in-law. Of course they could not resist the opportunity to be complete tourists and start snapping pictures.

You could not imagine the hilarity that ensued when these two young adults got together. They had a blast. Reminiscing and pretending to be children once again.

After a long day touring theme parks. Edward and Jennifer proceeded to end their day.

Upon exiting the park. Edward knelt down in front of his lovely Jennifer with the backdrop of Cinderella's castle and made his proposal. Edward felt as if he and Jennifer were meant to be together. It was as if Jennifer was thinking the same thing. For she did not skip a beat and immediately replied yes.

Though Edward had this elaborate plan to make his proposal memorable, Disney Security would not allow access to the balcony of the castle. So like many others we made our own fairy tale and began the road of our lives together.

The first meeting

After a month of continuous talking and running up each other's phone bills, Jennifer and Edward decided it was time to meet. They decided it was best for Edward to fly out to Salt Lake and have Jennifer pick him up.
When Edward went to purchase the plane ticket he had second thoughts about the adventure and hesitated in buying the ticket. While choosing to confirm or not the page automatically confirmed by itself. Swearing he did not click the confirm flight button he decided it was meant to be and followed through with the purchase.
Edward arrived in Salt Lake in November. He and Jennifer spent a few days together as well as took a road trip to Idaho to visit both her brother's family and Edward's sister.
The trip was awesome and both parties enjoyed the time they spent together. Regretting the fact that it would all be over soon.
There were sad faces that day as Jennifer put her Edward back on a plane to Orlando.

Introduction: How we Met!!

Jennifer and Edward met on LDSplanet.com on October 3rd, 2007. It was a late night chat that happened pretty miraculously. There are two sides to every story. Jennifer has stated that while looking for the man of her dreams she decided to look through those eligible bachelor's that were online. Well she stumbled across Edward's profile and immediately it was love it first sight and the rest as we know it was history.
Edward's side to this story simply states that he was not online at the time Jennifer has spoken of. Edward was in fact staying home by himself watching various tv shows while his roommates were our doing research for a business endeavor that they had decided to pursue. As he was ready to retire for the night he decided to get on his computer to kill time. He opened his e-mail and saw that he had a "flirt" message from Jennifer saying that "He was cute!" Edward quickly logged onto LDSplanet to see if Jennifer was online so that he could talk to her. On the east coast the time was approximately 1am, let's state that the only reason Edward was up this late was because Halloween Horror Nights had just started and he was taking calls until 3am. Edward and Jennifer talked for a couple hours online and exchanged phone numbers. Honestly after that, they could not stay off the phone and were talking to each other every chance they got. It actually got to the point that they fell asleep with each other on the phone. And thus the rest is pretty much history.
